a706由一内建高压开关的升压驱动器核心以及多信道恒流源组成，并以电压回授机制促使驱动IC随时工作在最佳效率模式，不但能弥补led顺向电压(vf)的差异，更能因应led顺向电压跟随温度之改变、实时调整输出电压，使驱动ic工作维持在高效率。由使用者以外部电阻设定电流大小的多通道恒流源设计，能使各个led串之间的电流一致，消除led串之间的亮度差异，是一个能亮度极为均匀的背光源解决方案。该系列ic可使用脉冲波宽调变(pwm)的方式进行调光，调光频率在100hz ~ 25khz范围内时，可很好的线性度，更可达成超过256阶的调光。时间差开关机制，错开各通道电流的导通与关闭时间，能降低pwm调光所产生的干扰。
