general description：
    the tb97636 is a high efficiency wled driver for lcd panel backlighting. the tb97636 contains 8 channels of current sources to accurately regulate the led current in each channel. the matching currents between channels typically achieve ±0.5% to ensure even brightness for all leds. the regulated current for leds is programmable by an external resistor, in which the current ranges from 15ma to 40ma. with the external pwm dimming control signal, the led brightness can be adjusted with ease. the tb97636 also integrates a fix-frequency current-mode boost converter with internal 150m? power mosfet. the boost converter automatically provides the minimal voltage required to drive the led strings, resulting in the lowest power loss and achieving its best efficiency.  the tb97636 also includes several features to protect itself from fault conditions.  these features include input over current protection, output over voltage protection, output short circuit protection, open and short circuit protection for led
strings, and thermal shutdown.  
    the tb97636 is available in a 24-pin 4mm x 4mm qfn package. it operates at the ambient temperature in the range of -40°c to 85°c with input voltage from 4.5v to 24v.
